How to Sync Sports or News Ticker Sponsors with Commercial Spots

Here's a new way to offer your advertisers a great enhanced advertising product: Enable synchronization of the airing of their commercial spots with the generation of their logo in your ticker.

With current technology from VDS, your ticker system can be fully ‘aware’ of the events that are coming up in your automation playlist, even if they are much later in the day. With this look ahead, the ticker system can prepare the display of a sponsor logo in advance so that it coincides with the playback of a specific commercial advertising spot.

The end result . . .

  • You can generate a sponsor logo in advance of the exact commercial spot during your normal programming:

  • Then, when the commercial spot plays, you can keep the sponsor logo in the ticker:

  • And finally, when the spot playback is done, your advertiser logo can remain in the ticker, completing the delivery of an enhanced advertising offering:

What advertisers get  . . .

  • Their commercial spot is 'teed' up in the mind of the viewer with a sponsor logo that precedes the spot playback.
  • Their commercial spot has additional viewer retention with a sponsor logo that follows the spot playback.
  • Resulting in an overall higher retention of the commercial message.
This type of enhanced advertising system can be fully automated with current technology and can include as-run reports for sponsor confirmation. And of course, your ticker can be fully animated based on your creative design.
